Cybertecture Academy 2013

27 July – 4 August

The inaugural Cybertecture Academy explored over a 10 day summer course in the studio of James Law Cybertecture the topics of “What is Architecture?” and “What is the Role of an Architect?”. Talks by professionals and interns shared with students the life of studying architecture at university and the real life of the working professional. Design workshops in sketching, computer drawing and model making gave first hand experience in making things in the studio. Field trip to iconic buildings in Hong Kong include guided visit to the School of Creative Media, City University of Hong Kong designed by Daniel Liberskind architect showed how architect realise amazing structures. Final architectural projects for a smart school of the future designed by each student was presented on the last day to professional architects, academics and developers in front of parents, before graduating with certificates from the course.
